Siyabonga Helping Hands for Africa only exists because so many people care for others and want to help them achieve a better quality of life. No contribution is too small. We are grateful for the help we receive from our individual sponsors as well as the businesses who include us in their corporate social responsibility programmes. Siyabonga Helping Hands for Africa is a registered NPO with PBO status, with the authority to issue Section 18A receipts. Any donation we receive will contribute to a company’s BBBEE scorecard as all of our beneficiaries are black.

Every little bit helps! Your support could support one of the many aspects of work, e.g.:

  • a monthly contribution for our daily educational programmes (Partner in Education)  of even R50 per month will help us pay for materials needed on a daily basis such as reading books, work sheets etc.
  •  the hot meal we provide each primary school child comes at a cost of R12 per meal so a monthly donation of R240 per month would help to ensure a child receives this meal each school day.
  • for a sponsorship fee of R400 per month you could sponsor the full cost of a child including the daily meal, the educational programme and school uniforms.

These are just some ideas, we’d really appreciate the opportunity to talk to you about How You Can Help, so please contact us

Vocational Guidance is a key service that we offer to the High School learners that are part of the Siyabonga family.

We are always looking for people to share their passions and career choices as many of these learners have no real understanding of what a specific career may hold for them. Expectations may be unrealistic and the exposure to career options is very limited. Whether you are a plumber, an electrician, an administrator or a restaurant owner, we really would like the learners to hear about what you do.

So if you are willing to make yourself available to talk about your career or profession at our annual careers week, please contact us about How You Can Help.

As education is one of our fundamental activities, we are always on the look out for materials that can help the learners to understand concepts or practise their skills.

Here are a few ideas:
  • second hand board games
  • stationery items including coloured pens, paper, card, examination pads, crayons etc. It’s amazing what you find if you dig around in the cupboards, items don't need to be brand new, just useful

We also look to create gift parcels of practical items for the annual Christmas Party, e.g.:

  • small toys
  • personal hygiene products such as soap, deoderant, face cloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste
  • sports items such as soccer balls, netballs

These are just some ideas, we’d really appreciate the opportunity to talk to you about How You Can Help, so please contact us
